“Howdy!” in Southern terms.

If God is in the details, as I think is true, here are some of those details. The little black dots on red ladybug backs. A friend whose voice catches just a certain way while telling me something important. That brown curl on my husband’s forehead right there. The peck on my cheek from a teenage girl, my daughter. That light but very specifically-given-to-me pat on my shoulder from my soon-eight son who is generous with patting. Our cat Lucky’s black fur here, brown as chocolate fur there. The color of the cleomes at my mailbox. The taste of coffee.
